Erica Deutsch practices in all areas of labor and employment law and ERISA, representing labor organizations and multi-employer trust funds in various industries, both in the private and public sector. Ms. Deutsch’s practice focuses on counseling unions and trust funds on human resource matters, ERISA and HIPAA compliance, as well as various other statutory requirements and trust interpretation matters. With her expertise in the Affordable Care Act, she assists health plans navigating the requirements of this law. She also provides sexual harassment training and counsels clients in the development of internal policies and procedures. Her litigation practice expands to both federal and state courts, handling a wide range of matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Deutsch was an attorney for the National Labor Relations Board. She has an extensive background handling representation elections, unfair labor practice proceedings, collective bargaining negotiations, Section 10(j) proceedings, and arbitrations. She taught Labor Law from 2008-2013 at Loyola Law School as an Adjunct Professor.

Ms. Deutsch is a member of the American Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section, Los Angeles County Bar Association, and the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee. She is fluent in Spanish and was a contributing editor to The Developing Labor Law, published by the American Bar Association. She has also provided legal commentary for CNN Latino’s “Sin Limites Con Elizabeth Espinosa,” “Contragolpe with Ruben Luengas” and “Airtalk with Larry Mantle.”
