Kyla Graves graduated from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law in 2025. Ms. Graves grew up in a Union family, and her father is a proud member of United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 1459 in Massachusetts. She was inspired to attend law school and fight for workers when her dad’s Union went on strike against his employer in 2019.

Ms. Graves served as a Peggy Browning Fund Fellow at a prominent union-side labor law firm in Phoenix, Arizona during her 2L summer, where she assisted with labor arbitrations, wage and hour class actions, and teacher certification defense. She continued to work at the firm as a law clerk during her 3L year. Ms. Graves also externed at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Civil Rights Division of the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, and with the Honorable Judge Blanchard of the Maricopa County Superior Court. She was the Senior Executive Editor of Jurimetrics- the Journal of Law, Science, and Technology.

Prior to law school, Ms. Graves received two Master’s Degrees: one in Coexistence and Conflict Resolution from Brandeis University, and the other in International Law and Human Rights from the United Nations Mandated University for Peace in Costa Rica. As an intern for the Commission for the Disappeared and Victims of Violence in Indonesia, she helped investigate the enforced disappearances of labor, civil rights, and land reform activists. Ms. Graves also served as the program coordinator for AmeriCorps Legal Advocates of Massachusetts, where she supported members who were trained as paralegals in legal aid offices throughout the state.

Ms. Graves co-authored Should I Stay or Should I Go? SCOTUS Addresses Arbitration Stays which appeared in the November 2024 issue of Arizona Attorney Magazine. See Ariz. Att’y Mag., Nov. 2024, at 36.
