Lynn Ta

Lynn Ta joined Bush Gottlieb in 2026. Before joining the firm, Ms. Ta enforced workers’ rights
as a Field Attorney with the National Labor Relations Board, where she litigated several high-
profile unfair labor practice cases and defended against Constitutional challenges to the NLRB.
Prior to the NLRB, Ms. Ta clerked for the Honorable Harry Pregerson on the U.S. Court of
Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and worked as legal counsel for the California Department of
Industrial Relations. She has also served as court-appointed counsel to indigent defendants in
their criminal appeals and has represented survivors of sex and labor trafficking. She was an
attorney fellow at the American Civil Liberties Union of San Diego and Imperial Counties; a
Government Fellow with the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section;
and has served as a legal observer at the military commissions at Guantanamo Bay.

Ms. Ta has published articles on labor law, Constitutional rights, international human rights, and
gender and cultural theory. She has taught courses at the University of California, San Diego, and
the University of Southern California.

A graduate of Occidental College, Ms. Ta holds a Ph.D. in literature from the University of
California, San Diego, and a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of
Law. She is a first-generation refugee immigrant.
