Mathew Sollett joined the firm as a partner in 2024, bringing over a decade of labor and employment litigation experience.
Mr. Sollett is a committed advocate for workers, and has represented clients in state and federal courts, in jury and bench trials, and in arbitrations and settlement negotiations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sollett was a Field Attorney with the National Labor Relations Board for nearly ten years. During that time, he conducted union representation elections, served as a hearing officer in administrative proceedings, and investigated and prosecuted hundreds of employers for unlawfully retaliating against employees and other unfair labor practices. Mr. Sollett represented the NLRB in federal District Court 10(j) proceedings and acted as lead counsel in numerous administrative trials.
Mr. Sollett has also represented individual employees in discrimination and wrongful termination lawsuits and wage and hour claims, and defended low-income tenants in eviction courts throughout Los Angeles County.
Mr. Sollett graduated from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, where he was named a Public Interest Law Scholar and served as a staff member and editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles International and Comparative Law Review. While attending law school, he worked at nonprofit organizations including the American Civil Liberties Union and Inner City Law Center. Prior to law school, Mr. Sollett worked as a community organizer in Brooklyn, New York and received a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from American University.
Following his maternal grandfather and mother, Mr. Sollett is proud to have been a third generation union member. He also served in a variety of elected positions with his local union.
